Hello Parents (and Students),
If you've found this page, then either your child (or you) will be in one of my classes. I am new to Burleigh Manor this year and am excited to join the BMMS faculty and community. This will be my fifth year teaching in Howard County and my eighth year teaching overall. I've previously taught at a private school in Anchorage, Alaska and at Patuxent Valley MS and Murray Hill MS here in Howard County. For the past 4 years, I mostly taught 6th grade English, including G/T courses, but I have previously taught high school students and am happy to be again working with (although only slightly) older students again. If you would like to know more about me, then check my Bio Page.
This webpage is a work in progress, so please overlook any broken links or pixelated graphics. I plan on using this site to share information about my classes and as a homepage for future class projects. The links above that are labeled for each of my class periods (ie. Pd 2) are for blogs that will (hopefully) be updated regularly with homework assignments and other news. I will do my best to keep the blogs up to date. The homework blogs should only be used as a back-up to the student's agenda book, which should be updated everyday by the student.
I believe open communication between parent, teacher, and student is very important for academic growth, so please feel free to contact me with any concerns and/or questions.
Mr. Justin Jones
